Seraph is a type of mystical weapon that is able to harm Cancer, the enemies of the game. It is also the main gameplay weapon used in various game modes of the game.

Seraph is regarded as the "last hope of humanity" as it is the only weapon that is rendered effective against the Cancer, as conventional man-made weapons are useless against them. There are not a lot known about the origin of this weapon except that it appears only later when Japan is the only surviving region of the world.
Seraph is an instinctive weapon, means that each user will be able to grasp its function even without much knowledge of the weapon. Although it's pretty obvious that making use of them in combat still require trained skills.
It is hinted that the military has extensive knowledge of every Seraph manifested that even new recruits have no idea of, including how to trigger it as some basics are only made known to them during their enlistment.

Seraph appears in a lot of of forms, each are unique to their particular users. Each Seraph represents "the description about the particular user" hence some of their forms may be used to interpret one's self.
Seraphs do have their categorisation as well in terms of weapon type and function, as well as their element effectiveness. This is translated into the combat function of Type and Element of the game.
