The End of the World and the Entrance Ceremony is the prologue chapter of Heaven Burns Red. It is available as soon as players started a new game.

Yuki and Ruka's first meeting at the orientation ceremony
The story begins with Kayamori Ruka dozing off during an orientation ceremony. She is suddenly woken by a silver-haired girl named Izumi Yuki, who asks to have a conversation so she doesn’t fall asleep. Yuki explains that the academy gathers people with special talents and, curious, asks what Ruka’s is. Ruka replies that she doesn’t have one—that she’s just an ordinary human being, except for her deep passion for music. She adds that she was even the lead vocalist in her band.
Yuki then reveals that she is a skilled hacker and a former member of an elite hacker organization, Orchids, which helped prevent World War III. Ruka, mishearing, grows excited, thinking Yuki is talking about the legendary band Orckids. Yuki tries to clear up the misunderstanding, but to no avail. Their conversation quickly devolves into a humorous, back-and-forth shouting match as each tries to prove the other wrong.
The Commander giving the speech calls them out, firmly ordering them to stop being disruptive. After the outburst, Yuki admits she initially thought Ruka seemed like the cool and collected type—but realizes she was sorely mistaken. Ruka, however, takes the remark as a compliment.
Suddenly, alarm sirens blare. A short blonde-haired woman orders everyone to take defensive positions. The auditorium is evacuated, and Ruka runs for the exit, meeting up with Yuki before heading outside with the others.
When outside, they encounter both Commander Tezuka and the blonde woman, who reports that a colony of Cancers has broken through the second line of defense and they are expected to arrive at the base in thirty minutes.
Cancer
We find out the teachers name is commander Tezuka which oversees this unit and she gives us a quick briefing. Next we head to the bridge for battle. And the blond hair says that the “cancers” are in the third line of defence. We then head there. Yuki then spots something in the distance. It’s the enemy called Cancer. Tazuka talks about weapons Called seraph. To activate it you need to hold out your seraph card and say the code. Yuki one is “HELLO WORLD” and a portal opens up. Ruka seraph code is “MY LEGEND/ADVENTURE IS JUST BEGINNING” Ruka is shocked by the swords size. Tazaka mentions that the cancers had strong outer shell but it destroyed they need to destroy the core inside them to defeat them.
We meet Asakura Karen who seems to have a alter ego of herself. She’s good at FPS shooters. Someone else called Tojo Asuka appears and she’s a intelligent agent. Because she’s intelligent Ruka asks her to give her opinion on what’s just happened But then she thinks about crabs. But Tojo continues: She explains that the cancers were weapons made by humanity but they ended up taking over but luckily humanity created the seraph to counter them. The symbol of the Seraph is the “Human remaining meter” it displays everyone alive in japan at the moment. It was 120 million but now it’s 8 million. If it reaches 0 humanity will fall. We meet the people who fought in the front lines and they thank us for defending the area. Back at base Tazuka thanks us and makes us the commander of the 31st A unit. We try to refuse but she says we are the only one who can do it. So we agree. She says to keep the military card with her on all times and We head to the dorms.
With some detours along the way we reach the dorms and Yuki finally remembers to ask what our name is. Yuki releases that the name sounds familiar and that Ruka is a famous singer. Tojo try’s to find out why she disbanded her band after they were doing so successfully but fails to get it correct. Asaka wants to bring the Narvy to the dorm room and Ruka accepts cause it looks cute and soon after Another Pink haired girl joins the studio Keys roster of pink haired girls. Her name is Megumi Aikawa and she’s a genius Physic. She also has a heavy Kansai accent. She’s very rood to everyone. She argues with Ruka who isn’t phased. Another Short pink haired character arrives (add that to the list as well) she’s Tama and was a former commander of a battleship. The battle ship was the only one to survive a attack from the Cancer out at sea. Everyone else died. Ruka calls Tora “Loli character” but is corrected. And we go inside the dorm finally.
we find out that the dorm has enough space for 6 people. Ruka and Megumi will also stay in the dorms with us. Ruka asks everyone to play Uno for some reason. Then Yuki screams at them for wasting there time and make sure they have there belongings. We then get called to the cafeteria. Tojo says that the food probably wont be nice as this is technically the military but she's proven wrong once again. Ruka attempts to make curry hamburger and many more bizarre foods. Later on we hear a weird voice but don't know the origins of it. Tojo thinks its a Youkai which makes Yuki question her heavily about if she's actually smart. We dont ever find out who it is. The voice says "that one of them will be gone by tomorrow" The groups finishes there session in the hotspring and Tojo realises that she hasnt seen a single male yet. They go back to the dorms and all change. Yuki is confused as of why Tama is still wearing her hat. The weird voice appears again mentioning how someone disappears every morning and that the game is beginning. Yuki wakes up in a panick but Ruka tells her that someone is sleep talking and to sleep.
