Types refers to general forms of Seraph in terms of attacking methods. Generally, they are divided as Slash, Pierce or Crush. Each type may factor to damage to enemies based on attributes given to the weapon and the enemy.

Slash[]
Slash refers to Seraph Squad members that possess a blade-shaped Seraph.
Pierce[]
Pierce refers to Seraph Squad members that possess projectile kind of Seraph. This include gun Seraphs, bow and arrow Seraph (like Miya's), even claws (like Byakko's)
Crush[]
Crush refers to Seraph Squad members that possess blunt-weapon kind of seraph. This may include swords with blunt edge (like Megumi's and Maria's), shield-type Seraph and anything similar to it.
